As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are dedicated to fostering self-sustaining communities and enhancing overall well-being in the Appalachian Mountain range. Our mission is both straightforward and impactful: to unite with non-profits and individuals in this region to help everyone thrive. Through our initiatives, we address critical issues such as food sourcing and sustainability, while also working to establish new, self-sufficient communities. We do this by collaborating with local business owners, innovative enterprises, educators, and passionate individuals who deeply value our planet and its resources.
We prioritize action and aim to create lasting change. Our GWA Projects legacy foundation is currently focused on distributing organic and heirloom seeds to over 18,000 households in Johnson County. However, our vision extends far beyond this initiative, particularly in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Now is a crucial time to clean up, recover, heal, and inspire those who will play key roles in shaping a better Appalachia today and in the future. Rebuilding for better tomorrows means finding new and better ways to live, play and work together. To that end, our CEO is presently partnering with The Venus Project in Venus Florida. Those who are affiliated can be found around the world, dedicating to designing human habitats that simultaneously enhance human well-being while remaining fit to the carrying capacity of Earth and local ecosystems, accommodating multiple resource scenarios and resilient to any catastrophic events.
