Together with the Johnson County Mountain City Library, GWA launched a Seed Library in April 2025. Neighbors can borrow organic and heirloom seeds, grow food at home, and return seeds to keep the library stocked for everyone.

Twenty years of service, now rooted in Johnson County.
After 22 years of service in North Carolina, Grow Well Appalachia put down roots in Johnson County, Tennessee in 2024. Our mission: to empower the region to thrive rather than merely survive.
Led by founder and CEO Nicole M. Henderson, ThM, with a board and volunteer team that includes retired Disney Imagineers and public safety leaders.
