Grow Well Appalachia (“GWA,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Mountain City, Tennessee. This policy explains what information we collect through gwaprojects.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Information you give us
Contact form. When you send a message through our Get Involved form, we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, the topic you choose and your message. The form sends this to us by email so we can reply. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
Email and phone. If you email or call us, we receive whatever information you choose to share.
Donations
Online donations are handled by PayPal. When you click a Donate button you leave our website, and PayPal collects and processes your payment details under the PayPal Privacy Statement. We never see or store your card or bank details. PayPal shares your name, email, donation amount and similar details with us so we can thank you and keep records, including for tax receipts.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web server keeps standard logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of each visit. We use these only to keep the site running and secure. We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics services on this website.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers when you visit. Google may receive your IP address as part of that connection. See the Google Privacy Policy.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and respond to volunteer, seed donation and partnership requests
- To process and acknowledge donations and keep nonprofit records required by law
- To keep our website secure and working properly
How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run our work (such as PayPal and our web host), when required by law, or with your permission.
Links to other websites
Our site links to partner organizations and other websites. We aren’t responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies when you visit them.
Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Keeping your information safe
Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. We keep the information you send us only as long as we need it for the reasons above or as required by law, and we take reasonable steps to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete the information you’ve sent us, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Just email or call us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
